The School of Agriculture, Forestry and Fishries in collaboration with the School of Liberal Arts organised a tree plantation drive today on the occasion of the World Environment Day.

Led by Dr. Faisal, HoD, Agriculture and Dr. Meenakshi H. Verma, Dean, School of Liberal Arts, the event saw enthusiastic participation from all university officials, faculty and staff. Trees like Chinar, Kanak Champa, Gulmohar & Camphor were planted as a pledge toward a greener future.

In his message, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Shankar Ramamurthy conveyed that protecting the environment is a daily responsibility — not just a one-day act.
