On the auspicious occasion of Harela, a festival that celebrates nature, greenery, and environmental harmony in Uttarakhand, the School of Agriculture, Forestry & Fisheries organized a plantation drive to promote ecological awareness and sustainable living.

The plantation drive was inaugurated by the senior-most and junior-most gardeners of the University, symbolizing the invaluable contribution of ground-level staff in nurturing and preserving the environment.

Dr. Faisal extended a heartfelt invitation to all authorities, faculty, and staff, encouraging united efforts to raise environmental consciousness.

The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Shankar Ramamoorthy, gave an inspiring message emphasizing the shared responsibility to protect and nurture nature. He reiterated the importance of aligning with the vision of “Harit Uttarakhand, Swachh Uttarakhand.”

The event was graced by the presence of all Directors, Deans, and Faculty members, reflecting the University’s strong commitment to environmental initiatives.
