Unnat Bharat Abhiyan
Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) is a flagship initiative of the Government of India, inspired by the vision of transformational change in rural development through higher educational institutions. The mission of UBA is to enable higher education institutions to work with rural communities to identify development challenges and evolve sustainable solutions using knowledge, innovation, and people’s participation.
Jigyasa University is proud to be registered as a Participating Institution (PI) under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, reaffirming its commitment to social responsibility and inclusive growth. Through this initiative, the University actively engages with nearby villages to contribute towards holistic development in areas such as education, health, sanitation, livelihood, environmental sustainability, and digital empowerment.
To formally launch and orient stakeholders towards the objectives of UBA, Jigyasa University organized an Orientation Program on 11th November 2025, coinciding with the University’s Foundation Day. The program aimed to sensitize faculty members, students, and administrative staff about the goals, structure, and implementation strategies of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, and to encourage active participation in village development activities.
The orientation program highlighted the role of students and faculty as change agents, promoting experiential learning while addressing real-life societal challenges. It also emphasized building strong partnerships with village communities to co-create sustainable and scalable development models.
Through Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, Jigyasa University envisions nurturing socially responsible graduates while contributing meaningfully to the nation’s mission of building self-reliant, empowered, and resilient rural communities.
